  • When ordering ropes, please specify:
    1. Type of Material​
    When choosing the right material for the duty, you will have to consider the visibility, strength and abrasion resistance.
    • Polyethylene (PE)
    • Polypropylene (PP)
    • Nylon (PA)
    • Polyester
    2. Diameter of The Rope
    The higher the diameter of the rope, the stronger the netting strength. Hence, enable it to withstand a big catch.
    • Measurement in millimeters (mm)
    • Measurement in inches (in.)
    3. Number of Strands
    The higher number of strands indicates better grip, abrasion resistance and strength. Hence, a heavy duty task calls for a higher number of strands.

    4. Direction of Lay
    Choosing the right direction of lay can determine safety and performance. It also has to be compatible with the equipment used.

    5. Kind of Lay
    The different use of lay, in terms of hardness, is situational-based, and depends on climate change. Soft is flexible and absorbs water, whereas hard ones are water-resistant and can retain their shape better.

    6. Centre Core
    With or without a core can affect the fluidity of a rope. Needless to say without a core (hollow braid) provides more flexibility, and with the core makes it tougher but less flexible.

    7. Length or (and) Weight
    The deeper the sea, the higher the density. Hence, the length and weight of the rope can determine how far down can you stretch the net to for a rewarding catch.

    8. Colour of Rope
    Colour choice of the rope can affect the visibility to the marine creatures.
